As Queer Athena continues to provide all kinds of events for our community, some unexpectedly become a HUGE HIT! Here you can find our largest endeavors and successes to date, as well as all the talented creatives we've worked with in the past! (Individual event pages coming soon)

2022 FIND ME PICNICS

In 2022, Queer Athena began their first events - "Find Me Picnics" - that helped so many strangers of the LGBTQ+ community find friends in NYC! Our three picnics over that summer helped bring so many people together <3

QUEER LOVE

ART MARKET BASH

This art market was Queer Athena's FIRST OFFICIAL event! Even on the coldest day of the season, we still had over 120 guests come and join the fun! We centered this event of making friends and having fun, so we had games and food as well as artists!

QUEER NIGHT IN SOHO

Our first ever speed friending event was SO chaotic but so much fun! So many new connections were made at this one-of-a-kind event in, and we thank everyone for their time and effort in making this a truly memorable experience!

QUEER ARTIST

EARTH DAY MARKET

We hosted over two dozen queer artists, designers and chefs at our second art market! This was also our first time working with the Brooklyn Art Cave, who we'll be working with again for future events! Stay tuned!

ATHENA PICNIC #2

In our second picnic this year, we collaborated with Chef Sven of QocinaX to make jars of rainbow pickled items! We also had two drag performers and plenty of other edible and infused product vendors.

QUEER FIELD DAY

In our largest endeavor yet, we were able to gather six teams of about 10 people each to compete in our Field Day! From six-legged races to capture the flag to good ole fashioned tug-of-war, there was something for everyone to be a part of!

NYC PRIDE 2023

NYC PRIDE this year was AMAZING - we are so glad we could have so many people join us - including so many first-timers! It was truly a beautiful moment for our community <3
